In 2016 we started thinking about purchasing an RV once we were both retired. We had talked about traveling extensively once we left our jobs behind but never knew exactly how we would explore this great country. Our search began but looking at travel trailers or possibly a 5th wheel.
While visiting a nearby RV dealer the salesperson asked how we would use the RV during our travels. He stated that if we planned to move often a Class A would be a better choice. We have owned everything from tents, popups, class C and Class A so we were experienced with each type of RV.
From this point we looked exclusively at class A models at every dealer along the Gulf Coast. We attended several RV Shows and walked through I believe every model made and looked at every floor plan. We started with the lower end models and actually walked through a Tiffin but at that time I saw no reason to spend that kind of money.
The more we looked the more we became determined Tiffin was the brand we wanted. Their quality is just simply so much better than anyone else in a Class gas unit. The others were nice but none came close to what Tiffin offers.
While attending a show in Mobile in February 2018 we came upon a Tiffin 34PA and it was perfect including the floor plan. We knew there would only be the two of us the majority of the time so we wanted a model that fit our needs. The table and chairs as a dining option was a perfect fit.
Now we had our plan. Find a new 2018 Tiffin 34PA. The next weekend we traveled to Birmingham and a dealer gave us a great price on a custom built unit. We went through the process of picking out almost every detail of the things we wanted and the things we could live without. After thinking about it overnight we made the big plunge and ordered the unit.
I think it was thirteen weeks later we were able to pick it up at Dixie RV in Calera AL. Since that time we have not regretted that decision at any time. After a two year search we had the RV of our dreams.
We got all the options we wanted including, washer/dryer, residential fridge, central vac and in-motion satellite. I also opted for the larger generator.
We ordered the table and chairs instead of a booth for the dining area. The table and chairs allow us more room and give me a great work space. We have cabinets beneath the table to store my laptop, printer and other office supplies we use regularly while traveling.
The bedroom has a king size bed and a nice closet which is large enough to hold all the clothes we need for months of travel at a time. We need to pack for every climate it seems most trips since we never know for certain where we will end up during our adventures.
The kitchen are is spacious and came with a microwave/convection oven. We also have a residential fridge which is larger than the one we have at home.
The best thing about the bath is that it is all together and has a shower large enough to be comfortable. The washer/dryer is a huge time saver. Ellen has learned to do the laundry on those rainy days when we would rather stay inside than go out.
